Steve Chacon brings a wealth of experience in 1031 exchanges to MEGA 1031. For more than 10 years, he earned a reputation for providing skilled and practical guidance as a financial statement auditor, tax accountant, consultant, author and recognized authority on complex like-kind exchanges.
His areas of expertise include:
* Safe harbor and non-safe harbor reverse exchanges
* Straddle-type exchanges
* Exchange first or backwards exchanges
* Related-party exchanges
* Aircraft and heavy equipment exchanges
* Mixed exchanges involving the sale of commercial property with a large personal property component
Prior to joining MEGA 1031, Steve oversaw highly complex reverse exchange transaction departments at two top 1031 companies. He also worked for various public accounting firms and corporations as staff auditor and tax accountant.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Emphasis from the University of Colorado.
